‘The staff are well trained, kind and caring’

My son has complex needs which are challenging, however, he has settled as a resident far more easily than I expected thanks to the manager and the staff. Communication is excellent. I am kept informed about therapy, appointments and the outcomes as well as day to day activities. The staff are well trained , kind and caring and are happy to go the extra mile if needed. My son feels safe and his dignity is a priority. The house and staff are very well managed, overall my son is content and I am happy and relieved.

Blue Cedars in Farnborough is currently where my daughter has lived for many years. The accommodation is first class and the care she receives even better. The building although very modern with all facilities is just still bricks and mortar, what makes Blue Cedars special is the staff who care for my daughter 24 hours a day to all her individual needs. The staff at her home are I believe the best in the business and are always willing to go that extra mile for the residents to the point they will even give up time with their own families to give that extra care when needed. It is because of the care at this house that allows me and my wife a life knowing that the most precious thing in my life (my daughter) is being well cared for and looked after to the highest standard. I can say no more well done, Blue Cedars and long may it continue.

Jasmine House is a really nice care home and environment. What i like here is that I get to lead my own independent life and I am able to choose what I wish to do with my weekdays and weekends. For example, with the support staff, I have been able to access adult education in Farnham. Staff have helped me and my family adapt my bedroom for my needs and personalise my room. I Feel valued. I work with staff to help support my physical and dietary needs and to support the staff I have joined a local group.

‘Happy and settled’

My daughter has been very well cared for in the 14 years she has lived at Tall Oaks. She is happy and settled. During the pandemic when all her regular activities had been stopped and she has been unable to have contact with family, they have done a fantastic job of helping her to cope with something intensely difficult for her. It has been down to the hard work of the staff in keeping her calm, happy and enjoyably occupied.

My daughter moved into the chestnuts in 2022, the staff made my daughter and family very welcome, everyone was so kind, and also very reassuring and of course, as parents, we were worried moving our daughter into a new home. She has settled in so well. The staff are all very caring and liaise with us on her care and her routine. Our daughter has also become very vocal which is wonderful to hear.

As a parent my son’s safety and dignity are paramount, I do not worry, the approach is person-centred and the standard of care is excellent. The staff are wonderful and genuinely care, they often go the extra mile. If I have any concerns they are responded to immediately. The house is managed very well, communication is excellent, I am always welcomed when visiting.
