Sunflower House is a spacious, detached nursing care home set within its own private grounds. The peaceful setting offers a calm, welcoming environment for adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, autism, and complex healthcare needs.

At the rear of the home, a large, accessible garden creates a safe and peaceful space to relax or enjoy outdoor activities. Thoughtfully landscaped, the garden features a wheelchair-friendly path, sensory areas, and an accessible greenhouse with raised beds, perfect for anyone who enjoys growing vegetables or caring for plants.

Inside, Sunflower House offers seven comfortable single bedrooms. Each room reflects the personality and preferences of the person living there, creating a warm and homely space that supports emotional wellbeing. Experienced, Compassionate Leadership at Sunflower House and Buttercup Lodge

Sunflower House and Buttercup Lodge are proudly led by Christine Highfield, a passionate and highly experienced Registered Manager. With over 20 years in adult social care, she specialises in supporting people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, autism, and complex health needs.

Christine began her career in 2001 as a support worker for individuals with both physical and mental health needs. Her empathy, dedication, and drive to improve lives quickly led her into leadership roles across a variety of care settings.

Since then, she has successfully managed residential care homes, day services, step-down support, and sheltered accommodation. Her commitment to person-centred care is matched by her reputation for delivering high-quality support with compassion and clarity.

In March 2025, Christine joined Mysa Care as the Registered Manager for both Buttercup Lodge and Sunflower House. Her leadership blends strong values, clinical knowledge, and a clear focus on promoting independence.

Moreover, Christine is deeply committed to personalised care planning. She builds strong, trusting relationships with the people we support, ensuring each care plan reflects individual routines, goals, and preferences. Her warm and responsive approach helps create a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment.

Thanks to Christine’s guidance, both homes continue to flourish as supportive, respectful spaces where people feel heard, valued, and fully involved in their care.
