Rose Lodge is a warm and welcoming residential nursing home that offers specialist care for adults with profound and multiple learning disabilities, physical disabilities, autism, sensory impairments, and complex health needs.

Our experienced team of qualified nursing staff is on hand 24/7, delivering consistent, compassionate care to individuals who require advanced medical and clinical support.

At Rose Lodge, we foster a comfortable and nurturing environment where people feel safe, valued, and truly understood. Our team takes time to build trust, learn each person’s preferences, and understand their routines and aspirations. As a result, every care plan remains genuinely person-centred.

We support a wide range of needs, from assistance with daily tasks and emotional wellbeing to encouraging greater independence and confidence. Moreover, everything we do is rooted in respect, guided by dignity, and focused on helping people live meaningful and fulfilling lives.

Amenities

Rose Lodge is thoughtfully designed to be fully accessible, allowing individuals with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and complex health needs to move around safely and confidently.

The home offers six spacious single bedrooms, each providing a private, personalised space that reflects the individual’s style, preferences, and needs.

In addition, shared areas include a bright, airy lounge, a light-filled conservatory, and a modern, fully equipped kitchen where people can help prepare meals if they choose.

To support comfort and independence, Rose Lodge also includes a fully accessible bathroom/wet room fitted with track hoists. Mobile hoists are readily available to meet individual mobility needs.

Beyond the home, Rose Lodge boasts a private, wheelchair-accessible garden. With smooth ramps and a charming summer house, it’s perfect for relaxing, socialising, or simply enjoying the outdoors.

More than just a peaceful retreat, the garden is also a lively gathering space. Each summer, Rose Lodge hosts joyful festivals filled with music, laughter, and connection.

Friends from our nearby homes, Buttercup Lodge and Sunflower House, often join in, making these events a much-loved highlight for everyone we support.

Meet the Manager

Paula Ryan

Paula Ryan began working in care sector after caring for her terminally ill son. Through this personal experience, she developed a wide range of skills and a deep understanding of what high-quality care means. Wanting to use her skills to support others, she started her career as a carer in 2014, working with children with severe complex health needs.

She progressed to a Senior Carer role and went on to complete her Assistant Practitioner qualification through Chester University. In 2019, she decided to broaden her knowledge and experience by working in a medium secure forensic mental health hospital. However, she soon realised her true passion lay in supporting individuals with complex health needs.

In 2023, Paula returned to the sector as an Operational Manager and loved every moment of it. She then progressed to the role of Registered Manager in 2024. Her personal and professional experiences give her a unique understanding of both providing care and supporting someone living with complex needs.

Support Provided

At Rose Lodge, each individual we support has a personalised care and support plan, created in partnership with families and regularly reviewed to reflect changing needs.

Using a person-centred active support approach, we empower individuals to build confidence, develop everyday living skills, and increase their independence at their own pace.

Choice and communication are central to life at Rose Lodge. Every person is encouraged to make decisions about how they want to spend their day, from routines to activities.

Some individuals have specific eating and drinking needs. Our team works closely with local Speech and Language Therapists and is fully trained to support PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy) feeding.

What truly sets Rose Lodge apart is the dedication of our team. Experienced support staff work alongside on-site nurses to deliver seamless medical and clinical care.

Together, they manage each individual’s health needs with skill, compassion, and professionalism, ensuring everyone receives the right care at the right time.

Their genuine passion for improving lives is clear in every interaction. As a result, Rose Lodge remains a warm, supportive home where people feel safe, valued, and truly understood.

I get to lead my own independent life…
